Is it possible for me to get back my naturally curly hair?

So when I was eight years old (now 11) I got my hair permed straight with one of those perms that are for kids that you can buy at walmart for black and mixed girls (I'm mixed) now some parts of my hair are straight/wavy mostly straight. So how do I fix this and make thoses parts of my hair naturally curly again and what caused this cause I know your not suppose to chemically perm your hair untill you start puberty but this perm was designed for little girls
