What hairstyles should I do with dry damaged hair?

Im from India and I had very bad hair before. ..So I chemically straightened it before college started. Its been a year to that now.. Half is natural hair and the below is straightened. I used a lot of ironers for that..making my hair completely dry and damaged. I found out little stuff on how to repair the damage. ..so Im gonna start. What I wanna ask is...my college re-opens in a week..what kind of hairstyles should I do? Its like bushy in the front and straight at the back..and i dont wanna use any straightners..even a normal pony-tail looks bad! Plz help!!
