UGH! ANYWAY I CAN STOP LOOKING DISGUSTING?

my mom is african american so i have this super curly frizzzy hair! its really annoying! ive had it relaxed, braided, rebonded but its grown back even curlier! the humidity makes it even harder to manage and it looks really unattractive. so i've started to put my hair back into simple buns, but i feel really ugly! what do guys think of buns, can they ruin a girl:/ i dont know what else to do and its making me feel depressed:( i feel so unfeminine, but i need to stop chemically treating my hair:(
